The Friars are currently serving in twenty-three diocese in over thirty-four parishes and parish missions throughout eleven States. In these parishes they minister through the Sacraments and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, counseling, lay leadership development, and many other parish ministries.  The Friars provide our young Franciscans with training of the highest caliber to meet the demands of today's Church. Currently, we have formation houses in Joliet, IL; San Antonio, TX; Cedar Lake, IN and Chicago, IL. The Friars minister to many different people at home and abroad through the Franciscan Missionary Union - in our home and foreign missions - especially Brazil, Morocco, Russia and Alaska. The Friars bring education, spiritual guidance, and encouragement to thousands from all races and nationalities.

We have 260 men striving to live the Franciscan ideal within our Province. They minister to the poor and the outcast, the homeess, the hungry, the spiritually lacking and people with HIV/AIDS through such programs as Franciscan Outreach and the Franciscan Connection.

We have along and proud tradition of providing ministry in Catholic, Franciscan education through Padua Franciscan High School in Parma, OH; Hales Franciscan in Chicago, IL and Quincy University in Quincy, IL.
