Just as we ask others to be generous with us, the friars of the Sacred Heart Province feel obligated to share the fruit of that generosity with others. Accordingly, the Franciscans offer financial assistance to:
•the St. Anthony Food Pantry (St. Louis)which provides food for the needy
•Franciscan Connection (St. Louis) which helps needy families with their utility bills
•Franciscan Outreach (Chicago) which provides shelter and food for the homeless
•the Custody of St. Benedict of the Amazon (Brazil)
•the Poor Clares (Omaha)
•Quincy University (Quincy, IL)
•Padua Franciscan High School (Parma, OH)
•Il Ritiro (the Franciscan retreat center in Dittmer, MO)
•Franciscans International (non-governmental organization—NGO—at the UN on matters of social justice)
•Franciscan Action Network (Washington, DC)
•needy relatives of the friars
We estimate that 9% of the our income is used to meet needs beyond the immediate needs of the friars or Province.
Your contribution designated as “Outreach” will be used for direct service to the needy, support of Catholic education, and the advancement of Franciscan values.
