Friar Retirement
Over half of the friars of the Franciscan Province of the Sacred Heart are now retirement age. Quite a few of our senior friars continue working in a variety of ministries, but there are some who, because of age or infirmity, are no longer able to engage in active Church service.
Some retired friars, continue to live in one of the province’s friaries. Others are residents in extended care facilities. But more and more of our senior friars live in one of our retirement homes in Manitowoc, WI, or Alton, IL, or Crowley, TX.
Your contribution to our Friar Retirement will help us provide appropriate care for these men who have dedicated their lives to the service of God’s People.
